Indonesia and The Netherlands have been working together to learn about the land subsidence phenomenon in the North Coast of Central Java. On December 15th, 2022, PokJa of Land Subsidence and Deltares held a closing workshop “Land Subsidence in the Coastal Zone of Central Java”.

As part of the PokJa Land Subsidence, Balai Air Tanah has committed to working towards sustainable mitigation through SWMS (Smart Water Management System) in the next two years, striving after conjunctive water use realization in Pekalongan and Kendal, Central Java.

Together, with clear participation and accountability, we can achieve good governance in the mitigation of land subsidence.
